MEDICAL SPONSORSHIP FOR DR. PHILIPPE ST PHART
DR PHILIPPE SURVIVED THE JANUARY 2010 EARTHQUAKE WHEN THE ROYALE MEDICAL COLLEGE IN PORT AUX PRINCE CAME CRASHING DOWN AROUND HIM. HE WAS HIT BY A FALLING BLOCK AND SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY AND RECOVERED. THAT DAY APPROX 100 MEDICAL STUDENTS DIED.
PHILIPPE ALONG WITH APPROX. 100 STUDENTS SURVIVED!
HE IS NOW IN SANTIAGO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND IN NEED OF A MEDICAL DOCTOR/SPONSORSHIP AT APPROX $4500 PER YEAR.
WHY PHILIPPE??? Philippe was 8 years old when the first Doctor came to La Grange for an afternoon...curious Philippe stood by his side all afternoon and then said to his parents " I AM GOING TO BECOME THE VILLAGE DOCTOR". Philippe began to study and became a sponsorchild of Childcare Canada. in July 2007 I met Philippe and he told me of his dream....he completed a Pre Med Program and a year of English School before entering the Royale College MD Program.
His dream is to be the La Grange Doctor - from mid January to the end of May Philippe treated 100's of sick children and adults in the La Grange area of #50,000 people and no clinic or Doctor.
I am praying that a Doctor or special Donor would take Philippe on as a Project of Support over the next 7 years. Cost per year $4500.
